Colin Fenello

Colin Fenello is a dedicated family law attorney at Gem State Family Law, where he brings a balance of compassion and fierce advocacy to support Idaho families through life’s most sensitive transitions.

Colin earned his Juris Doctor, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Idaho College of Law. He developed a strong foundation in family law through his work with the Family Justice Clinic, where he represented survivors of domestic violence in divorce, custody, and protection order matters. That experience continues to shape his empathetic, client-centered approach to family law today.

Following law school, Colin practiced commercial litigation at a leading regional firm, where he represented clients in complex business disputes. Through this work, he developed a strong command of courtroom procedure, persuasive legal writing, and strategic negotiation. His experience managing high-stakes cases from intake to resolution taught him the value of precision, preparation, and client-centered advocacy—skills he brings to every family law matter he handles today.

Colin now focuses exclusively on family law, where he combines his litigation background with a deep commitment to helping individuals navigate emotionally charged legal issues. Whether advocating in court or negotiating favorable settlements, Colin works to protect his clients’ rights and promote outcomes that support long-term stability for them and their families.

When he’s not practicing law, Colin can be found exploring local trails with his wife and Saint Bernard.
